1889 Pizza is hosting a dough making workshop where you will learn the process of making Neapolitan pizza dough.

This will be a hands-on workshop where our Pizzaiolos (pizza makers) walk you through how we make our delicious dough from start to finish.

For $65 the class includes the following:

• Instruction on how to combine dough ingredients

• Hands on experience cutting and creating individual pizza dough balls

• Taking 1889's Neapolitan pizza dough and forming it into a pizza for your lunch

Your child will learn how to form a ball of dough into a pizza crust (including getting the chance to toss it in the air!), learn about the ingredients that go into pizza, and get to make their own personal-sized pizza!

We are bringing back our family-friendly pizza making class on Saturday, Oct. 27. This event is perfect for children from 4 - 14! And, of course, costumes are not only welcomed, but encouraged.

Your child will learn how to form a ball of dough into a pizza crust (including getting the chance to toss it in the air!), learn about the ingredients that go into pizza, and get to make their own personal-sized pizza!

At the end of class, all children will enjoy their own pizza creation for lunch (parents, you're welcome to order lunch for yourself during the class)!

We are celebrating the onset of fall by learning a little more about vino around our community table! Join us on Wednesday, Oct. 24, to learn about a variety of white and red wines that are perfect for the cooler weather.

For $30 per person - or save a little money and purchase a group of four for $100 - you will swirl, sip and savor four glasses of wine, engage in an open discussion about each wine and what pairs best with them. Light snacks will accompany the wines to showcase the most robust flavor profiles.

Looking for something fun to do to celebrate your mom this Mother's Day?

Treat mom to a mozzarella making class at 1889 Pizza! This hands­-on workshop is for the cheese lovers who want to up­ the ­ante in the kitchen. During the class you will learn about mozzarella cheese, participate in making your own mozzarella cheese and then share a pizza and caprese salad with the formaggio you've just formed!

As Jayhawk Alumni themselves, Jason and Kelli Kolich love contributing to the local community and, of course, supporting the University of Kansas network. So, 1889 will donate 10% of all dine-in purchases on Dec. 6 to the University of Kansas Cancer Center! Grab your friends and family and make it a pizza night to support a good cause!
